FRT Golfing Champion Retains Title
Tony Carpenter retained his trophy (and what a trophy it was!) in the 2010 FRT golf evening held at Oak Park, Crondall on 8 June 2010. 17 Tablers and friends battled against the perfect conditions to return to the clubhouse before the bar closed for bangers and mash. Chairman Leigh ‘Longshot’ Adams took home the longest drive prize on the 9th having also secured a solid second place. Warren Traynor managed a life-time best by winning a prize at a golf day, coming third overall. A great evening was had by all and players have already set their sights on 2011! Thanks to Linden Coleman of Nokia for providing the prizes.

New Chairman and Committee
As of the 1st May we have a new chairman - Leigh Adams. A Manx man born and bred on the Isle of Man he moved to Farnham 3 years ago having spent some time in Cambridgeshire. Leigh Brookes takes over as Vice Chairman with Ian Jacobs as treasurer and ex-chairman Richard Bousfield looking after PR. FRT would also like to welcome Paul Beere as President for the year.
Everest Max: The Longest Climb - January 2010
Over 250 people enjoyed that tale of one man's adventure cycling from the Dead Sea and climbing Everest. Told by adventurer Dominic Faulkner, stories of battling atrocious weather, challenging conditions and nature itself the audience were left in no doubt about how hard the challenge had been. The night was a huge success as we rasied over £2,500 which has already been pledged to local charities.
Santa's Float - December 2009
We were yet again lucky enough to be able to get Santa to accompany our float around Farnham to meet everyone. Some horrible weather did nothing to dampen his spirit and we manage to rasie over £2,000 - fingers crossed he will be free next year!
Fireworks Fiesta 2009
Fantastic weather and a great turn out helped the Fireworks Fiesta and Torchlit Procession to be a huge success and great fun for everyone who attended. More news and pictures to follow.
